Way back in October I managed to lay my hands on a bar of Marmite chocolate. Was I impressed - no I wasn't. I managed to do a better job myself. You can read all about it here .
Mrs W of Edinburgh and a great many other places around the world, who went to school with me and has put up with my scribblings for a goodly number of years, has very kindly sent me a Red Cross parcel containing some very posh Earl Grey tea from the USA and, more pertinant to this blog, some marmite truffles from the Chocolate Tree in Edinburgh. They are rather lovely - gone is that curious salty taste of official marmite chocolate and in is some dark smooth marmitey overtone that blends with the chocolate perfectly. I managed to photograph some before I scoffed the lot.

Sandy, I don't know what the customs is like for sending chocolate through the mail but if this doesn't present a problem and you don't mind giving me your address I will send you a bar of bacon flavored chocolate. We have a place called World Market here where we can find all kinds of chocolate, including my favorite Cadbury's. I have never seen the Marmite flavored one before though but have seen bacon-flavored and chili flavored.
Hi Denise, I don't mind giving you my address at all, if you send an e-mail to miceforlent@hotmail.com I'll send it to you. The bacon flavoured chocolate has filled me with curiosity for a while and I would be very grateful indeed to receive some.
I have never even heard of marmite chocolate before, but I like chocolate and I like marmite so I can imagine it must taste ok :)Please let us know what the bacon chocolate tastes like too :)
Looks sinful.
I'm impressed you could wait long enough to take a picture before the scoffing. I'm glad they are an improvement on the last version, and I look forward to trying some - though not the bacon chocolate.
Thanks people for commenting - they're alway appreciated.
I'm sure if I was toting up sins these chocolates would have counted - all gone now anyway.
